2014 was a phenomenal year for Matt Wood Photography. I photographed all over New England and even got to leave the country for the second year in a row to shoot a destination wedding, this time in Mexico with a good friend of mine.. I met and photographed a ton of people and really tried my best at spreading my wings for the future. I have some big plans for 2015 and can’t wait to get all my ducks in a row. I have a month off before the 2015 wedding season starts up and it’s time to sharpen my pencil and get going.
Anyways, after the big pat on the back I will get to Tricia and Don’s Wedding!!! I want to start off by saying I really love this couple… no seriously I do… I may have even told them that while I was photographing them… The way they look at each other and make each other laugh and smile make me sooo happy and it makes my job 10x easier.
Wow I am having a definite ADD issue tonight.. Focus Matt focus… Tricia and her bridesmaids Justine and Kristin got ready at a friends house just a few minutes away from Jones River Trading…Side note: I love Jones River Trading love love love… ok back at it.. Once the girls were ready they set off to Jones River for first look.
I met up with Don and his trusty companion Todd at Jones River just as they arrived in Todd’s 1931 Chevy.. Sorry..Side note: I love old cars and I had a 1930 Ford Model A coupe which was going to be a hotrod but then turned into a bag of Nikon gear.. Sorry back to the wedding. I setup Don by the river for Tricia’s arrival for first look and guides Tricia into place. The reaction of the two of them was priceless and the constant smiling and laughing was amazing. Once formals were done we headed inside for the intimate ceremony. Then off to cocktail hour and dinner and dancing!! What a great night with some really great people!! PHEW!! ADD helps me capture a wedding but it makes blog posts very challenging 😉
Congrats Tricia and Don!! Enjoy!!
